Security

Unauthorised Access
Access to TalentLens is restricted to authorised users and requires an ID and Password. Registration of users is rigorous with clearly defined authorised user levels. Identity is confirmed by legally binding agreement coupled with review of credentials and certification.

Data Security
All the TalentLens Centre data (including Assessment Administrator and candidate personal information, assessment data, and the text of the assessment reports themselves) are stored in a Microsoft SQLServer™ database. Access to this data is strictly controlled, offering state-of-the-art security. Assessments are scored off-line by a secure scoring server, with the assessment results then returned to the Authorised User ordering the assessment.

Personal Data and Electronic Commerce
TalentLens protects your personal data and electronic commerce transactions with the highest levels of security. Our servers use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, an advanced encryption technology that works with Netscape Navigator and Communicator (version 2.0 and above), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.0 and above), and AOL (version 3.0 and above) browsers. SSL encrypts all of your personal information, including your credit card number, name, address, assessment answers and scores so that it cannot be intercepted as the information travels over the Internet between your browser and our site.

We believe that TalentLens is likely more secure than the traditional assessment methods when the realities of unreturned assessment booklets, widely distributed (and reverse-engineer able) computer diskettes, and "lost" mailings are considered. Assessment developers, authorised users, and assessment subjects can be assured that the secure and confidential management of sensitive data is of utmost concern to us. Pearson is dedicated to continuous quality review of all security methods.

Privacy

This policy applies only to TalentLens and the associated website. We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors and users of our site and services. This site contains links to other sites, and TalentLens is not responsible for the privacy practices of those other sites.

Assessment Administrators
To register as a Assessment Administrator, you are required to submit personal and professional information. This information is used to determine your qualifications to administer the various assessments available on TalentLens. None of this information will be sold or redistributed, although aggregate (group) data may be compiled and redistributed or sold in the form of research, special industry reports, and TalentLens usage pattern studies. We may occasionally send an email to all Assessment Administrators with news or announcements. You may stop receiving these messages at any time by notifying us of your desire.

Assessment Testing
When taking an assessment through TalentLens, you are required to enter personal information. TalentLens uses your information for identification and communication only. This information is sent to the Assessment Administrator along with your test scores. TalentLens is not responsible for the use of this information by the Assessment Administrator and does not sell or redistribute your individual information to any other parties.

We reserve the right to use your demographic information without any individual identifying data (such as your name or e-mail address) and raw test data for any purpose.

Because we understand the sensitivity and confidentiality of test data, TalentLens utilises the most advanced security methods available.
