Based on the BarOn model of emotional intelligence, the EQ-i:YV™ measures the level of emotional and social functioning in children and adolescents. It can be used by psychologists, school counsellors, social workers, and psychiatrists to identify a child’s strong and weak areas and help develop the skills needed for academic,
personal, and social success.
A short form is also available that takes 10 minutes to administer and 5–10 minutes to score. It is ideal for younger children, for screening large groups or where time is limited.
