Developed by Dorothy Bishop, an academic leader in the field of language impairment in children, the TROG-2 measures understanding of grammatical contrasts and is the fully revised version of the original TROG.

TROG-2 assesses grammatical comprehension by measuring understanding of 20 constructions 4 times each using different test stimuli.

Each test item is presented in a 4 picture multiple choice format with lexical and grammatical foils.

Australian check normed
The TROG-2 has been standardised in the UK but was check normed in Australia with data on 146 children from Western Australia in three age bands: 6 years, 9 years, 12 years

Features
TROG-2 has all new items, it has an upward age extension to 16 years 11 months plus an adult sample, increased item difficulty, and colourful artwork.

It also contains lexical and grammatical distracters and blocks of testing to facilitate qualitative analysis.

TROG-E

TROG-E is the electronic version of the Test for Reception of Grammar - Version 2 (TROG-2). TROG-E is a receptive language test which assesses understanding of English grammatical contrasts marked by inflections, function words and word order.

The TROG-E is faster, more flexible and user friendly.

The TROG-E was standardised nationally on 4 to 16 year olds and a small sample of adults. It enables the tester to discover not only how a person's comprehension compares to that of other people of the same age, but also to pinpoint specific areas of difficulty.
