The SASSI-3 is a brief and easily administered self-report screener that helps to identify individuals aged 18 years and older who have a high probability of having a substance abuse disorder and provides information to help select appropriate treatment.
The SASSI-3 subscales also provide clinically useful information regarding an individual’s attitude toward the assessment, as well as defensiveness, emotional pain, ability to acknowledge problems, and risk of legal problems.
