An attention problem can be symptomatic of a number of etiologies, including attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders and central auditory processing disorders.
ACPT is a quickly and easily administered screening test of auditory vigilance. ACPT provides information to help the clinician determine if an attention problem is one of the underlying factors contributing to a child’s learning problem. It is
designed to differentiate children who have learning disabilities or language disorders from children who have central auditory processing disorders.
Pass/fail criterion scores for each age indicate whether a child’s performance matches the performance of children with normal attention skills or children identified as having ADHD.
